Description

Add some whimsy to any bookshelf with my moose bookends, which measure 12″ (l) x 4 ¾” (w) x 8″ (h) at the top of the antlers. They are constructed from solid hardwood and are finished with polyurethane. Each moose is individually cut from solid black walnut (body) and maple (antlers).  The antlers are attached to the body with a dowel pin and the eyes are black dyed dowels set into the body.  The corners of the bookends are dovetailed for superior strength and the moose is attached with glue and a single screw, which is recessed and covered with a matching hardwood plug. They have high-friction rubber feet to prevent them from sliding when a book is removed. The bookends come in either cherry or red oak.
