Single frames come in either 4″ x 6″, 5″ x 7″ or 8″ x 10″ sizes. They are designed to sit on any flat surface in either portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) configuration and can also be hung on a wall in either direction. All commercially available frames use easel-backs to stand on flat surfaces and “D” hooks attached to the backs to hang on walls. However, the easel-backs make these frames difficult to hang on a wall and make them not sit flush to the wall. My frames have flat hardwood panel backs and keyhole slots, which allow them to easily hang flush to the wall. They stand on flat surfaces with pegs that insert into holes on the back of the frame. When the frame is hung on a wall, the pegs conveniently store in slots set into the back. They are constructed of solid cherry, walnut or oak and are inlaid with any one of the following woods: cherry, walnut, oak, padauk, mahogany or purple heart. Each has matching corner supports for strength and elegance and brass turn buttons to hold the backs in. They are finished with polyurethane.
